The Joint Commission

To ensure the highest quality health care for our patients, the University of Maryland Medical Center regularly participates in a national accreditation process conducted by The Joint Commission.

The Joint Commission is an independent, not for profit organization that sets standards for measuring health care quality and safety, and the safety of the environment in which that care is provided.

If you have questions or concerns about care you have received at the University of Maryland Medical Center that have not been resolved by the Medical Center, you may contact The Joint Commission in one of several ways:
